Dennis wrote an update on the KANE hyves today:

OK, 6 hours time difference means you’re having your birthday but then again you ain’t. You’re turning a year older but you can postpone this four about six hours. Because we’re in New York. GMT -5. Seriously I was kinda bummed with it. Usualy it’s waking up with breakfast in bed at home you know. And this time I was woken up by a phonecall from dj Giel Beelen. That’s no shit. But the day turned out really awesome. All day long I got text messages with congratulations and really wicked shout outs on hyves and myspace. Then there were gifts from Nico and Dinand and even some people of the recordcompany paid me a visit. Spoiled myself with a new guitar (a mindblowing firebird 1976, my year of birth) and went out for dinner (Japanese) in Manhattan. New York ain’t that bad. Each and everyone of you thanks for the congratulations! Far from home yet feels so close! Thanks, really feel you!

Tomorrow we’ll be back in action. Back to the All Aire Studios in Woodstock. Record a song and a lot of guitars and some vocals. So looking forward to that! Nico stayed a little longer and he’s - like us – in a real New York state of mind. If I can get my hands on the right cable tomorrow I might be able to show you guys what we’re up to here. And as multitrack with an instrumental version of CATWALK CRIMINAL and a CATWALK SEDUCTION FEVER-remix. Also added to this multi track single is the official video for windows & mac. CATWALK CRIMINAL and the remixes are also available on iTUNES. 

The KANE guys are bussy recording their new album at the moment and adding stuff to their official KANE Hyves, Myspace and Youtube pages.

In a new update on the Dutch KANE hyves Dinand wrote this:

Fuck…. freezing here! Nice blue sky, views go on to Canada with frozen lakes and tones of snow. Walking in a winter wonderland is what hey call this I think. We’re back in Woodstock. Home of many but also the All Aire Studios. In the next few days we’ll finish of drum, bass and basic recordigs. Nope not quite finished yet. Long way to go. Heading there. That’s for sure. Far from home. In the middle of nowhere, in one of the nicest studios we’ve ever been. Catwalk Criminal has been released today. For now online and on Friday in stores. Feels kinda weird. I’m writing this from a room overviewing the mountains while back at home the single is being released. Hope you’ll download it or go out and buy it on Friday. Just saying that ‘because we’re so proud of it. This is KANE in 2008. Every time I play Catwalk I’m thinking ‘I wanna be in that band!’ Which is good ‘because they tell me I am ha, ha.And we could use your support. We’ve decided to take KANE to the edge. Where’s the excitement in us, that unknown thing, that you know has been there all along? Ha, ha, that’s in a way the definition of the next KANE record…number 4. How do we take it to the next level? With you guys at our side, we hope. So we try to create the best tracks. Which will be released on single. So you just gotta download ( uh uh not on limewire ha, ha) the new single or get it at your local (Dutch) store on Friday.

We're doing just fine thanks. Exciting days for us now CATWALK CRIMINAL the first single of the new album was released on Dutch radio, on-line and Dutch tv on the 1th of January. No more working in the background on the new tracks, we got full exposure. The kick-off came at 10 minutes past midnight and working our asses off in New York to get everything finished on time. CATWALK CRIMINAL is , as you've noticed by now, a single that's got a totally new sound. Takes a bit of getting used to? Yeah sure does. Just listen to the track a few times, let it sink in. We're proud as hell of CAT WALK CRIMINAL and both Dennis and me got that 'damn I wanna be in that band' -feeling. Hope you feel it to. We also hope you feel the lay-outs/feel of the sites and new singles. For KANE it's a totally new flow, new inspiration. Same for you?

Our weekend was BooYah great and we sure hope yours as well…But enough about us…back to business sexy…

Early this morning Dinand and Dennis payed a visit to Dutch radio 3FM to talk to dj Giel. After a long time our friends from KANE dropped by to say Hi to Giel. Dinand and Dennis came to talk about their new album. And Giel surprised them with an exclusive: the awesome ‘Catwalk Criminal’ remix made by dj Roland Molendijk. Clearly it was a bit scary for them to hear the track for the first time live on the radio but no worries the guys like it Roland… Next to waking up listeners with their remixes Dinand and Dennis also mentioned that next to the huge concert at the Rotterdam Kuip there also will be some try-out gigs at Dutch venues. In addition they mentioned foreign fans will get a chance to visit a KANEconcert (for sure BELGIAN fans) and enjoy some of the MaYhEm from these gentlemen as they still want to do some exciting things abroad… After visiting Giel they guys are back on their way to The Big Apple to finish the new album which might be in strores as soon as April Dinand concluded the conversation.

We updated the news yesterday on our website but now it’s official: ‘Catwalk criminal’, the new KANEsingle will be released simultaneously on the radio, television and the internet on the 1st of January.

"the track is a good reflection of the state of mind of kane nowadays", according to lead singer Dinand Woesthoff. "It’s sexy, classy, it rocks and 'it makes you wanna dance’." Guitarist Dennis van Leeuwen: "People who already got a chance to listen to some of our new material all say the same thing: ‘it’s obvious you guys are having fun.’ That’s pretty cool to me, because that’s exactly what we wanna achieve"

Kane will perform on the 1^st of January – immediately after the turn of the year - in Rotterdam. This performance will be broadcasted live on Veronica television. The single ‘Catwalk criminal’ will be in stores from the 21st of January…

On Wednesday Dinand wrote a little update on his facebook:

‘Ohhh Yeahh Baby... just finished the first single mix here in Manhattan NYC!!!! On the site of the Nationaal Pop Instituut we can read :

Dutch music magazine Musicmaker wants to find out which albums were the most influential for Dutch musicians. The KANEpromoladies hope one of the KANEalbum once was such an inspiration for young and upcoming bands/artists. The list will be featured in the December issue of the magazine and every musician has a say in the end result.

Beside one hundred famous Dutch artists who will be approached by the magazine, every other Dutch musician will be asked to send in his/her Top 10. By doing so Musicmaker want to create a demographic overview of those records which made Dutch pop scene what it is to this day.

To be clear: it’s not the ‘most beautiful records’ that’ll be chosen by the listeners or music lovers, but those albums that motivated them to become musician, that triggered them to start up their own band, influenced their musical style and are still on this day a source of inspiration to them. Maybe that was As long as you want this or Fearless

Dutch musicians can send in their Top 10 by using http://www.musicmaker.nl/top100/. Musicmakers Top 100 will be featured in the issue of Musicmaker 12, which will be in bookstores on the 20^th of December.

Yesterday Dinand already mentioned something about it during an interview on the show De Wereld Draait Door and today we can read up on some more information about the KANE kick-off to 2008 :

KANE will perform on the 1st of January, immediately after the turn of the year, on a pontoon on the Maas river, Rotterdam. The Rotterdam New Years Eve celebrations will be comparable to the impressive festivities in Sydney, Londen and New York where thousands wish each other happy New Year under skies lit with fireworks. The Erasmusbrug in Rotterdam will be the decor for the Dutch public.

The party will kick off on the 31th of December at 21u00on the Wilhelminadock. There will be 15.000 tickets on sale for this event. Minutes after the New Years Eve fireworks KANE will perform it’s brand new single from the new album that’ll be released that year. Next to Kane other artists will perform. The full line-up will be revealed on Friday the 16th of November. The next day ticket sales for this event start on http://www.nieuwjaarsnacht.nl tickets will cost 8 euro each.

Ticketsales for the gig will start this Saturday the 17th of November at 10 o’clock. At this moment KANE is in New York recording their new album, which will be in stores early 2008. On Saturday the 28th of June KANE will perform for the first time in almost two years on the fabulous stage of De Kuip. It will be the only gig of that size in Holland that year.

After the mega-gigs at the Amsterdam ArenA, the Almere beach and at the Malieveld in The Hague, De Rotterdam Kuip is the long awaited new venue. KANE at De Kuip. On Saturday the 28th of June it’s gonna happen. ‘If Paradiso can be referred to as ‘the’ rock temple of the Netherlands, then you can address De Kuip in Rotterdam as ‘the’ rock stadium. You can sense that when you’re there. She’s different to all others, she’s absolutely gorgeous. Now, in sight of KANE album nr. 4, declaring we’ll play at that venue, is fantastic.  ...tick, tick, tick, time never stops… This week it ticks in London, then we’ll be on NYC time… we’re going to record… it’s official...
